The da Vinci Surgical Unit is robotic technology that allows faster recovery time, less scarring, significantly less pain, and a shorter hospital stay. 

The da Vinci system enhances the ability to access the pelvis compared to open and conventional laparoscopic approaches because of the wristed action of the instruments. This allows more precision when operating in tighter spaces. Those with a large uterus, previous abdominal surgery, previous c-sections, no previous pregnancy, or morbidly obese who would have traditionally been offered an abdominal hysterectomy can now have a hysterectomy with a few small incisions.
